دليل تحدي دبي لوكلاء الذكاء الاصطناعي: من الفكرة إلى بريف جاهز للتقديمDubai Create AI Agents Championship: From Idea to a Ready to Submit Agent Brief

Dubai opened a global championship for AI agents, and each category winner gets a USD 150,000 grant (about AED 550,000). This guide takes you from an idea in your head to an English agent brief that is ready to submit.

Who this guide is for

Anyone with an AI agent idea who wants to enter, coder or not

Key terms

Agent
An AI program that takes a goal, plans for it, uses tools and keeps working until the task is done. Not just a chat that answers.
Chatbot
Answers one question and stops. The championship wants agents that act, not only reply.
MVP
The simplest working version of your idea. You can enter with an idea, a prototype or an early MVP.
Agent brief
One paragraph covering the problem, who has it, what the agent does and how you measure its impact. It is the core of your entry.

The steps

  1. Step 1

    Check you can enter

The championship is open to anyone, in the UAE or abroad, with no minimum age. Entry is free.

Enter alone or as a team of up to 6. You can apply with an idea, a prototype or an early MVP, as long as it is not already a fully commercialized product. Existing companies can enter with a new agent solution.

All registration and submission material must be in English.

Tip: Every team member registers individually on the platform.

  2. Step 2

    Pick your category

There are 4 categories, and each winner gets a USD 150,000 grant.

Personal agent: makes daily life easier, from health to time to productivity.

Business agent: improves how a company or government entity works, its services, operations or decisions.

Societal agent: solves a real problem in the community.

Youth: the lead applicant is under 21 at registration.

    PromptFind the right category
I have an AI agent idea: [describe it in two lines]. The championship has 4 categories: Personal, Business, Societal, and Youth (under 21). Tell me which category fits best and why, and what I should change in the idea to make it stronger in that category.
  3. Step 3

Define the problem before the tool

Weak ideas start from the tool. Start from the problem.

Answer 3 questions: what exactly is the problem, who has it, and what result do you want once the agent works?

If you cannot answer each one in a sentence, the idea is not ready yet.

    PromptStress test the problem
My idea: [the idea]. Ask me 5 hard questions about the problem it solves: who has it, how often, what it costs them today, and how they solve it now without an agent. After I answer, sum up the problem in one clear sentence.

Tip: Talk to 3 people who actually have the problem before you build anything.

  4. Step 4

    Design how the agent works

The judges want to see how your agent reasons, plans, uses tools and acts.

Write down the goal it receives, the steps it plans, the tools it uses (email, calendar, a database, a website) and the final action it takes.

Plan for data protection now. It is a requirement.

    PromptMap the agent's workflow
I am building an AI agent that solves this problem: [the problem in one sentence]. Map its workflow step by step: the goal it receives, the steps it plans, the tools and systems it connects to, the action it takes at the end, and how it protects user data. Keep it simple enough to build as a prototype in 4 weeks.
  5. Step 5

    Prove people need it

The championship looks at three things: real customer need, business potential and measurable impact.

Need means evidence from people with the problem. Business potential means who will pay, and how. Impact means a clear number, such as time, money or errors the agent saves.

    PromptChoose your metrics
My agent: [description]. Suggest 3 clear metrics I can use to measure its impact in a small pilot, how to collect each one, and which customer could pay for it under which pricing model.
  6. Step 6

    Write the brief in English

The whole submission is in English, and the brief is the first thing judges read.

Use the prompt below with Claude or any model you use.

Review the result yourself and remove any number or claim you cannot back up.

    PromptAgent brief template
Write a one paragraph agent brief for the Dubai Create AI Agents Championship, category: [Personal / Business / Societal / Youth].

Problem: [the problem in one sentence]
Who has it: [the people or organisations affected]
What the agent does: [goal, the steps it plans, the tools it uses, the action it takes]
Data protection: [how personal data stays safe]
How we measure impact: [1 to 3 metrics]
Who pays: [customer and pricing idea]
Stage: [idea / prototype / early MVP]

Keep it under 150 words, plain English, no hype. Then list 3 weaknesses a judge might spot and how to fix each.
  7. Step 7

    Register and block the dates

Registration opened on 7 October 2026 on the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy site: dubaichamberdigital.com/en/create-ai-agents

The official announcement says registration closes in December 2026, while the site's timeline lists January 2027. Register before December to be safe.

October and November bring open workshops and a 10 video digital academy. November and December are for building, with training and mentorship. In January 2027 you submit your prototype, pitch deck and demo video. Semi final pitch day is in March, and the Grand Final is the first week of May 2027.

  8. Step 8

Plan for the final from day one

You can start with an idea, but finalists must demo a fully working agent live on stage, not an MVP.

Do not copy code from an existing repository. The rules forbid it. Build the agent to protect personal and confidential data from the start.

Work on three things now: the prototype, the pitch deck and a short demo video.

Tip: Film the demo solving the real problem, not walking through screens.

Ready prompts to copy

PromptName and one line pitch
My agent: [description]. Suggest 5 short English names, each with a one sentence pitch that says what the agent does and for whom.
PromptJudge simulation
Act as a judge for the Dubai Create AI Agents Championship. Score my entry from 1 to 10 on real customer need, business potential, measurable impact, and whether it is a true agent rather than a chatbot. Explain each score in two lines and give me the single change that would raise it most.

My brief: [paste your brief]

The takeaway

Start from the problem, write the brief in English, and register before December.
