من سؤال واحد إلى مستند ولوحة أرقام وتصميم داخل محادثة ClaudeFrom One Question to a Doc, a Dashboard and a Design in the Same Claude Chat
Chat and Cowork are now one Claude. Ask your question normally, then turn the answer into a doc, slides, a dashboard or a design: a page you keep and come back to, not an answer lost in the chat.
Who this guide is for
Anyone using Claude who wants finished work, not just an answer. Dashboards need a paid plan
Key terms
- Cowork
- The mode where Claude worked on your files and tasks. It is now part of the same conversation, so you no longer pick between chat and Cowork.
- Claude Docs
- A document Claude builds inside the chat. You edit it yourself or ask Claude to, and share it by link. Available on every plan.
- Dashboard
- A page of charts and numbers that sums up your data at a glance. In beta on paid plans.
- Slides
- A deck Claude builds from the same chat, ready to present or share.
- Claude Design
- The feature that turns an idea or data into a visual design, now working inside the conversation itself.
The steps
Step 1
Check that you have it
Docs is on every plan now, including Free. Dashboards are in beta on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.
If your message box still shows separate Chat and Cowork options, you do not have the update yet. Update the app or check back in a few days.
The official note: if your message box still shows Chat and Cowork options, you do not have it yetSource: support.claude.com Step 2
Ask your question in plain words
Start a new chat and ask the way you would ask a person. Example: break down your spending for a month.
If you upload a bank statement, remove account and card numbers first.
PromptThe opening questionHere is my spending for [month]: [paste the table or upload the file]. Group it by category, tell me my top three categories, and where I can save.
Tip: Never upload account or card numbers. Amounts, dates and categories are enough.
Step 3
Turn the answer into a doc
In the same chat start your message with /docs, ask for a doc in plain words, or pick Output then Docs in the message box.
Claude builds the document from the same data you gave it above.
The official docs: ask for a doc in plain words, start with /docs, or pick Output then DocsSource: support.claude.com PromptDoc/docs Make a one page summary of my [month] spending: the total, the categories, and three steps to save next month.
Step 4
Turn it into a dashboard
Ask for a dashboard in your own words, or pick Output then Dashboards in the message box.
Name the exact charts you care about so you do not get a generic page. Every dashboard is saved in the Artifacts tab, so you can open it again next month and compare.
The official docs: ask for a dashboard in any chat, or pick Output then DashboardsSource: support.claude.com PromptDashboardBuild a dashboard from the same data: spending by category, spending per week, and one headline number showing the total against [budget].
Tip: Dashboards need a paid plan. On Free, the doc is enough.
Step 5
Turn it into a design
Ask for a design when you want something visual to share, like a summary card or a post.
Same chat, same data, another format.
The official note: you can ask Claude Design for a design in the same chatSource: support.claude.com PromptDesignMake a design: a summary card of my [month] spending at [size], in calm colors, with the total and the top three categories.
Tip: If Design is not in your Output menu, ask for it in plain words.
Step 6
Pick the format by what you will do with it
A simple rule: a report you read or send? Doc. Presenting it in a meeting? Slides. Numbers you will track every month? Dashboard.
They all come from the same chat and the same data, so you never explain twice. Slides are in the Output menu too, or ask for them in your own words.
PromptSlidesFrom the same data, make [number] slides I can present in [meeting]: one for the total, one for the top three categories, and one for next steps.
Step 7
Edit it yourself or ask for changes
In a doc: click into it and type, and changes save on their own. Or select text and leave a comment that mentions @Claude, and Claude makes the edit and explains it in the thread.
In a dashboard: ask for the change in the chat, like add a filter by category.
A mistake does not send you back to zero. Ask for one specific change at a time instead of one long request.
The official docs: edit the doc directly, or ask Claude for the change in the chatSource: support.claude.com PromptA specific editIn the [doc or dashboard], change [thing] to [new thing] and keep everything else as it is.
Step 8
Share by link or export
Docs, Slides and Design live at one link you can share, or you can export them from the share options.
Before you share, check there is no private data in it.
The official docs: a doc starts private to you, open it and click ShareSource: support.claude.com
Ready prompts to copy
/docs Here are the notes from [meeting name]: [notes]. Pull out the decisions and the tasks with owner and due date, and turn it into a document I can share with the team.
Here are the sales for [period]: [data]. Build a dashboard with weekly sales, the top five products, and a comparison with [previous period].
The takeaway
An answer you never come back to is not work. Ask for a page you keep and fix tomorrow.
