علّم Claude كيف يفكّر في السكريبت: skill مبادئ المحتوى بدل الخطواتTeach Claude How to Think About Scripts: A Content Principles Skill Instead of Steps

Why AI scripts sound like a robot, and how to put your content principles in one skill Claude checks on every script, and uses to review your old ones.

Who this guide is for

Creators who write reel scripts or posts with Claude

Key terms

Skill
A SKILL.md file with instructions Claude loads on its own when they help with the task, in the Claude apps and in Claude Code.
Steps
The outside shape of content: a strong opener, a numbered list, follow me. Easy to copy, and it comes out flat.
Principles
The reason behind the shape. A rule that explains why a line works, so Claude can apply it to any topic.

The steps

  1. Step 1

See why the script sounds like a robot

When you give Claude a winning reel and say make one like this, it takes the shape only: the strong line, the list, the ending.

It copies the form and forgets the reason. The fix is teaching it why each part works.

  2. Step 2

Write your principles with their reasons

Start with these and add what works for your audience:

Line one sells line two, because nobody keeps watching without a reason in the first seconds.

A precise detail beats a general claim, because specifics make it believable.

Open a question early and answer it at the end, because an open question keeps people watching.

One idea per script, because two ideas dilute both.

Start from a situation people live, because they recognise themselves before they hear the information.

End on the payoff, not on filler.

Tip: If you cannot write a principle's reason in one line, drop it.

  3. Step 3

Put the principles in a SKILL.md file

Create a folder called content-principles with a SKILL.md file inside, using this template. Replace everything in square brackets.

The header must stay in this format. The principles themselves can be in any language.

    ---
    name: content-principles
description: Use when writing or reviewing a short video script, hook or caption for [your account]. Applies the principles below, not a template.
    ---

    # Content principles

    Audience: [who you talk to]
Language and tone: [your dialect and tone]

    ## Principles (each with its reason)
    1. Line one sells line two. Reason: nobody keeps watching without a reason in the first seconds.
    2. A precise detail beats a general claim. Reason: specifics make it believable.
    3. Open a question early and answer it at the end. Reason: an open question keeps people watching.
    4. One idea per script. Reason: two ideas dilute both.
    5. Start from a situation people live. Reason: they recognise themselves before they hear the information.
    6. End on the payoff, not on filler.
[add your own principle]. Reason: [why it works for your audience]

    ## How to use
    - Before writing, state which principles the script will lean on.
    - After writing, check every line against the list and fix what fails.
    - Never copy the structure of a reference post. Take only the reason it works.
  4. Step 4

    Add the skill to Claude

In the Claude app: open the skills settings and upload the folder as a zip, following the options your plan shows.

In Claude Code: put the folder in .claude/skills/ inside your project, or in ~/.claude/skills/ so it works in every project.

Tip: Keep the description clear. It is what tells Claude when to use the skill.

  5. Step 5

Write a new script with the principles

Ask for the script and have Claude say which principle each line uses. That shows you whether it really understood the reason.

    PromptNew script
Use the content-principles skill. Write a [length] second reel script about [topic] for [audience]. One line per breath. After the script, add a table: the line, the principle it serves, and why.
  6. Step 6

    Review your old scripts

The same skill works as a reviewer. Paste an old script and ask Claude to score it against the principles before it rewrites anything.

    PromptScript review
Use the content-principles skill. Here is an old script: [script]. Score every line against the principles, tell me which principle is broken and why, then give me a fixed version with the same idea and the same length.
  7. Step 7

Update the principles from your results

Every time you notice a new reason something worked or flopped for you, add it to the file as a principle with its reason.

The skill grows with you, and you stop explaining the same thing to Claude in every chat.

Ready prompts to copy

PromptPull the principle out of a winning post
Here is the script of a post that did well: [script]. Do not give me its shape. Give me three principles that made it work, each in one line with its reason in one line, written so I can add them to my skill.

The takeaway

A good script is not steps. It is a way of thinking, and a skill is where you keep it.
