برومبت ولا لوب ولا خريطة: اختار مستوى الشغل الصح مع الذكاء الاصطناعي وارسم خريطة شغلك الأسبوعيPrompt, Loop or Map: Pick the Right Level of AI Work and Map Your Weekly Process
Working with AI has three levels. After this guide you will know which level each task needs, and you will have a ready template to map any process that repeats every week.
Who this guide is for
Anyone who writes the same prompt every week and wants to stop starting from zero
Key terms
- Prompt
- Instructions you give once, and the AI answers once.
- Loop
- The AI does the work, checks it against a clear test, and fixes what failed until it passes or runs out of tries.
- Workflow map
- The whole process laid out step by step: what goes in, what comes out, when to retry, when to stop, and when to ask you.
The steps
Step 1
Understand the three levels
Level one is a prompt: "write a reply to this email" and you are done.
Level two is a loop: "write the reply, check it is under 120 words and answers all three questions, and fix it if not".
Level three is a map: the whole weekly email process laid out, from sorting to replying to follow up, with rules for retry, stop and ask.
Step 2
Pick the level with one question
One off task? Prompt.
A task you can call pass or fail? Loop.
A task that repeats every week? Map it.
If a prompt is enough, stay there. A higher level is not always better.
Step 3
Turn a prompt into a loop
Any prompt becomes a loop when you add three things: a clear pass test, an instruction to check, and a number of tries.
PromptLoop templateTask: [task] Pass test: [for example: under 120 words, answers every question, no numbers you made up] Do the task, then check it against the pass test point by point. If a point fails, fix it and check again. At most three tries. At the end give me the result and a check table: each point, pass or fail.
Step 4
Draw the map of your weekly process
For work that repeats, let the AI interview you and draw the map with you. Paste this into Claude or ChatGPT and answer the questions.
PromptMap drawing promptHelp me draw a workflow map for a task that repeats every week: [task]. Ask me one question at a time about the steps, what goes into and comes out of each step, and how we check each step. Then write the map as a numbered list, and for each step give: 1. Inputs 2. Outputs 3. Check 4. When to retry (and how many times) 5. When to stop 6. When to ask me before going on Finish with a version of the map I can paste as instructions.
Step 5
Put the map somewhere fixed
Copy the map into the instructions of a Project in Claude or ChatGPT. Every week, open a new chat there and type "start this week's map" with your inputs.
If you use scheduled tasks, you can run it at a fixed time.
In Claude: click Set project instructions, paste the map, then Save instructionsSource: support.claude.com Tip: For the first two weeks, have every step ask you before it goes on.
Step 6
Review the map after the first week
Look at where it stopped or asked you for no reason, and where it kept going when it should have stopped. Change only the retry, stop and ask rules.
PromptMap reviewThis is my workflow map: [paste the map] This is what happened this week: [what happened] Suggest changes to the retry, stop and ask rules only, and tell me why for each change.
The takeaway
Not every task needs a map. The ones that repeat every week deserve to be drawn once.
