Four ready prompts for ChatGPT Images 2.5: a studio style shot of your product, a full campaign in one look, a concept image you cannot shoot, and a phone camera roll look labelled as AI. Plus editing by comment and a prompt library for more.
Who this guide is for
Small business owners and creators who want a fast first draft before a real shoot
Key terms
- Reference image
- A real photo of your product that you upload with the prompt, so the model keeps its shape.
- ChatGPT Images 2.5
- OpenAI's image update released in September 2026. It keeps reference images more faithfully, edits only the area you target, and lets you comment on an image to change it.
The steps
Step 1
Prepare a photo of your product
Shoot the product with your phone in daylight on a plain background. Keep the logo and any text sharp.
The clearer the reference, the closer the result stays to your real product.
Step 2
Prompt one: a studio shoot
Upload the product photo to ChatGPT and paste the prompt. Describing the light, surface and angle is what makes the difference.
PromptStudio shotThis is my product. Keep its shape, colour, logo and any text on it exactly as they are. Make a studio style product photo: Surface: [for example white marble] Background: [a colour or a place] Light: [for example soft light from the left with a light shadow] Angle: [top down, or eye level] Format: [square or 4:5] No extra text and no people.
Tip: Change one thing per try so you know what made the difference.
Step 3
Prompt two: a full campaign in one look
Once you like the studio shot, ask for the rest of the campaign in the same chat so the look stays consistent.
PromptCampaign from one productKeep the same product, light and colours, and make three images: 1. A tall poster with empty space at the top for a headline 2. A 9:16 ad for stories 3. A square social post showing the product where it is used: [place] Do not change the product's shape or logo in any of them.
Step 4
Prompt three: the shot you cannot take
Here you write the idea in your head: your product on the moon, the size of a tower, or made of sand. A clear idea beats many words.
PromptConcept imageThe idea: [describe the scene that cannot be photographed] The product from the attached photo is the hero, and its look does not change. Mood: [calm, premium, playful] Colours: [two or three] Format: [4:5]
Step 5
Prompt four: a phone camera roll look
This style looks like an ordinary phone photo: natural light, a casual angle, a setup that is not perfect. It works for an ad that should feel real, or for a draft of an idea.
But it is an AI image. It must be labelled AI when you post it. Never present it as a real photo, and never use it to show a real person or an event that actually happened.
PromptCamera roll styleMake an image in the style of an ordinary phone photo. This is an AI image and it will be posted with an AI label. The product from the attached photo: keep its shape, logo and any text on it exactly as they are. Scene: [for example a kitchen table in the morning with the product on it] Light: natural window light, no studio lighting Angle: casual, as if someone took it with one hand Details: a setup that is not perfect and an ordinary home background Format: [4:5] No real people's faces, and no text that suggests it is a real photo.
Tip: Put the word AI on the image or in the caption. Do not let people guess.
Step 6
Edit by commenting on the image
If one thing is off, do not start over. Open the image, add a comment on that exact spot, and write the change. The model edits only that area.
One change per comment gives a cleaner result.
Tip: Write the change as an instruction: "make the shadow lighter", not "I do not like the shadow".
Step 7
Find more in the YouMind library
If you want more ideas, YouMind has a prompt library for images. The general prompt library is at youmind.com/prompts, and there is a page of GPT Image 2.5 prompts at youmind.com/gpt-image-2-5-prompts.
Pick a prompt you like, replace the brackets with your product, and try it in ChatGPT with your reference photo. Review the result before you use it, because every prompt behaves differently with every product.
Tip: Copy one prompt and change only one thing, like the product or the place.
Step 8
Check before you post
Before posting, compare the logo and text on the product with the original, letter by letter.
And the rules: label AI images in ads, never use real people's faces, and never present the image as a real photo.
The takeaway
The photographer is not gone. You just get a first draft in a minute.
