السؤال المفتوح في الريل: كيف تخلي الناس تكمل لين آخر ثانية مع ClaudeThe Open Loop in Your Reel: Keep People Watching to the Last Second with Claude
Learn how to open a question in the first second of a reel, answer it in the last second, and have Claude write your script that way.
Who this guide is for
Creators and founders who write short reel scripts
Key terms
- Open loop
- A question or promise you open at the start of a video and only answer at the end. People keep watching because they want the answer.
- Zeigarnik effect
- From Bluma Zeigarnik's 1927 study: people recalled interrupted tasks about twice as often as finished ones.
- Hook
- The first line and first frame of a reel. It decides whether someone stops or keeps scrolling.
The steps
Step 1
Write the answer first
Before the question, know the answer you will give in the last second. One clear, useful sentence.
If the answer is not worth the wait, the open loop feels like a trick.
PromptPull the answer from your ideaHere is my reel idea: [idea]. Give me 3 short answers, one sentence each, that could be the last line of the reel and leave the viewer with something useful.
Tip: The answer should be something people save or send, not just an ending.
Step 2
Open the question in the first second
Turn the answer into a question or a promise in the first line. Keep it under 8 words and on screen from the first frame.
Shapes that work: "The secret is not the editing", "I will tell you why at the end".
PromptWrite the hookThis is the answer I will give at the end of the reel: [answer]. Write 5 hooks, each under 8 words, that open a question only this answer closes. Do not reveal the answer in the hook.
Step 3
Remind them once in the middle
In the middle of the reel, add one line that points back to the question, like "and I will tell you at the end". It renews the curiosity when it starts to fade.
One line only. More than once gets annoying.
PromptThe reminder lineHere is my reel script: [script]. Add one short line in the middle that points back to the question in the first line without answering it. Tell me exactly where it goes.
Step 4
Answer in the last second and close the loop
The last line answers the question and calls back a word from the first line. That closes the loop and makes the reel feel complete.
Put the CTA right after the answer, when attention is at its peak.
PromptClose the loopFirst line of the reel: [first line]. The answer: [answer]. Write a last line that answers it and calls back a word from the first line, then one short CTA line asking for [a save, a share or a comment keyword].
Step 5
Have Claude check the whole script
Paste the full script and ask Claude to check that the question opens in the first second, comes back once in the middle, is answered only at the end, and that no line gives the answer away early.
PromptOpen loop reviewReview this reel script: [script]. Check 4 things: 1) an open question in the first line, 2) one line in the middle that points back to it, 3) the answer only in the last line, 4) no line reveals the answer early. Fix any line that breaks one of these and give me the full script.
Ready prompts to copy
Write me a 30 second reel script about [topic] for [audience]. The first line opens a question, one line in the middle points back to it, and the answer comes only in the last line. Short sentences, one breath per line.
The takeaway
Open the question in the first second, answer it in the last, and people stay with you to the end.
