١٨ حركة مونتاج تبنيها مع Claude بالكود18 editing motions you build with Claude in code

The same motions from the reel: a moving hook, a giant caption, a timeline, an eyedropper, a reels feed and a comment that drops. Each one comes with a prompt you paste into Claude to get the file.

Who this guide is for

Creators who edit their videos with Claude or Claude Code

Key terms

Motion
An element that moves over the video: a word, a card, an icon. It enters on one word and leaves after.
HTML overlay
A transparent page on top of the shot. Claude writes it in code and a render script turns it into video.
Word timing
The time of every word you say, in seconds. It tells each motion exactly when to enter.

The steps

  1. Step 1

Set up Claude Code and the project

Open Claude Code on your computer and keep it on Local.

Make a folder with your raw take raw.mov and a words.json file with word times. No timings yet? Ask Claude to transcribe them.

    PromptStarter prompt
I have a video at raw/raw.mov. Transcribe it with the time of every word and save it to words.json. Then set up a transparent 1080x1920 overlay.html where every element enters and leaves on a word time from words.json, and a script that renders the page frame by frame over the video at 30fps.

Tip: Keep every motion between 0.3 and 0.6 seconds. Longer slows the reel down.

  2. Step 2

Hook motions: moving hook, falling word, giant caption

The first two seconds hold the viewer.

The hook enters word by word and sways. Then a word drops and spins as it falls. Then a giant caption covers the top of the frame and leaves on the next word.

    PromptThe hook
In overlay.html build 3 motions on word times: (1) the hook line [hook text] enters word by word, then sways ±40px and settles, (2) the word [word] drops in from the top and 0.35s later falls 900px while rotating 28 degrees, (3) the word [word] at 400px slams in and leaves on the next word. Use [font], white with #FFD60A for the key word.
  3. Step 3

Interface motions: prompt bar, storyboard, struck icon, dragged file

    These show the tool itself.

The prompt bar is a copy of Claude's white composer with the text typing in. The storyboard is three frames from your video popping in one after another. An icon enters and a red line strikes it. A file slides across with a mouse cursor.

    PromptInterface
Add 4 motions: (1) a white prompt box shaped like Claude's composer (+ button, tools button, model name, orange #C6613F send button) with [prompt text] typing in over 0.6s, (2) three frames of the video at seconds [s1, s2, s3] popping in 0.12s apart, (3) a [tool name] icon struck by a red diagonal line on the word [word], (4) a raw.mov file card with a mouse cursor sliding 560px to the right over 0.6s.
  4. Step 4

Timeline motions: timeline, icons that jiggle and delete

The timeline is four coloured clips under your face with a yellow playhead moving as you talk.

Then three icons jiggle like iPhone apps before you delete them, and leave one by one.

    PromptTimeline
Add a 960px timeline under the face with 4 coloured clips and a yellow playhead travelling from start to end between the words [first word] and [next word]. Then 3 icons [tool names] with a grey ✕ badge, jiggling ±5 degrees every 0.09s, leaving one by one on the word [word].
  5. Step 5

Colour motions: slider, eyedropper, cinematic look

Here the colour changes on the shot itself, not only on a graphic.

The slider moves and the shot tints with it. The eyedropper goes to a spot on the shot and a pill shows the colour code. The cinematic look brings in black bars with a teal and orange grade.

    PromptColour
Add: (1) a 680px colour slider whose knob travels while a colour layer over the video (mix-blend-mode: color) shifts from orange to blue with it, (2) an eyedropper icon moving to point [x,y], then a pill with the colour dot and [#HEX], (3) two 300px black bars top and bottom entering on [word] with a soft-light teal to orange gradient.
  6. Step 6

Social motions: title card, video grid, reels feed, video card, dropping comment

The end goes back to the platform.

A title card wipes in. A 3 by 3 grid of your videos pops in behind your head. A phone scrolls a reels feed. A video card with a play button and a duration. Last, a comment with the keyword, and on the final word it drops away.

    PromptSocial
Add: (1) a glass title card with [title] and a timecode, wiping in, (2) a 3x3 grid of images from [image folder] popping in 0.04s apart behind the person (use the person mask so the head stays in front), (3) a 300x600 phone frame scrolling images up 760px, (4) a video card with a play button and [0:12], (5) a white comment with an avatar, the account name and [comment text] that falls 700px and rotates 10 degrees on the last word.

Tip: Anything behind your head needs the person mask from the video. Ask Claude for it before this step.

  7. Step 7

    Render and review

Let Claude render, then ask for one image with 12 frames so you see every motion at once.

If something covers your mouth or a caption, tell it exactly where to move.

    PromptRender and review
Render overlay.html over raw/raw.mov to exports/final.mp4 at 30fps with audio. Then make qa.jpg with 12 frames spread across the video. Move any element covering the mouth or a caption to the empty space above the head or to the side.
  8. Step 8

The whole system in the course

This guide is the free part. The full system is in my course: 16 lessons in Gulf Arabic, with Arabic captions in the right word order, one loudness level, a ready SKILL.md, and a whole folder edited with one command.

Ready for the whole system? The course is here: https://mabuzant.com/academy/claude-video-editing?src=guide-effect

Ready prompts to copy

PromptA new motion from a description
Build a new motion in overlay.html: [describe the motion]. It enters on the word [word] and leaves on [word]. Keep it off the face and between 0.3 and 0.6 seconds.

The takeaway

Every motion in the reel was an HTML file Claude wrote on my word times. Start with one today.
