استخدام الـ AI مش مهارة: اختبر مستواك في ست مهارات وطوّر الأضعف فيهاUsing AI Is Not a Skill: Test Your Level in Six Skills and Grow the Weakest One
The UAE leads the world in AI use, but the ranking measures who used it, not who is good at it. After this guide you will know your real level in six skills, with a ready prompt to grow each one.
Who this guide is for
Anyone using Claude or ChatGPT who feels they are not getting the best out of it
Key terms
- AI diffusion
- The number Microsoft publishes per country: the share of people aged 15 to 64 who used a generative AI product in the period. It measures use, not quality of use.
- User
- Asks one question and accepts the first answer. Gets value, but leaves most of it on the table.
- Skilled user
- Gives context, asks for several versions, reviews the answer, and turns repeated work into a ready template.
- Context
- Everything the model needs to understand your situation: who you are, who the audience is, what the goal is and what the result should look like.
The steps
Step 1
Understand the number behind the ranking
Microsoft's Q2 2026 report puts the UAE first at 73.3%, Singapore second at 64.3%, and the whole world at 18.8%.
The number measures who used a generative AI product, not who uses it well. The report itself says many newer tools are not counted yet.
So the ranking says we use it. The real question is how.
The official report: Q2 2026 Trends and InsightsSource: microsoft.com Tip: Do not compare yourself to the country. Compare yourself to you, two weeks from now.
Step 2
Test your level with a short interview
Open a new chat in Claude or ChatGPT and paste the prompt below. The model asks you one question at a time about how you work, then scores you from 1 to 5 in six skills: context, examples, multiple versions, reverse questions, review and templates.
Answer honestly about the last three times you used it, not the ideal one.
PromptLevel interviewYou are a coach who assesses how well people use AI. Ask me one question at a time and wait for my answer before the next one. Ask about the last three tasks I used AI for, how I wrote the request, and what I did with the answer. After 6 to 8 questions, score me from 1 to 5 on these six skills, with a short reason for each score: 1. Giving context 2. Giving examples of the format I want 3. Asking for several versions and comparing 4. Making the model ask me questions before it answers 5. Reviewing and checking the answer 6. Turning repeated tasks into templates Finish with my two weakest skills and one exercise for each that I can do this week. My field: [your field].
Tip: Save the scores in a note. You will need them in the last step.
Step 3
Start every request with context
The biggest gap between a user and a skilled user is the first three lines of the request. Before you ask, tell the model who you are, who the audience is, what the goal is and what shape you want.
Use the template below for any task and fill in the brackets.
PromptContext templateI am [your role]. I am working on [the task]. Audience: [who will read or use the result]. Goal: [what should happen after they see it]. Format: [length, language, style]. Here is an example I liked: [paste example]. Before you start, tell me if any information is missing.
Step 4
Ask for three versions and compare
The first answer is not the best answer. It is just the first. Ask for three genuinely different versions and have the model name the strength of each. Then pick one, or ask for a fourth that combines the best parts.
PromptThree versions, three anglesWrite three different versions of [what you need]. Each one takes a completely different angle, not the same idea reworded. Under each version, write one line: who it works best for, and its weak point.
Step 5
Make it ask you first
When the task is big or vague, do not let it guess. Ask it to question you first. It is the fastest way to get an answer that fits you on the first try.
PromptQuestions before the workBefore you start on [the task], ask me the 5 most important questions you need answered to get it right the first time. Ask them all at once, numbered, and wait for my answers.
Step 6
Review the answer like a manager
A skilled user does not copy and paste. Have the model review its own work first, then check any number, name or date against its original source yourself.
PromptReview before useReview your answer above like a tough manager. List any fact that may be wrong or outdated, any number that needs a source, and any part that is generic and could be clearer. Then write an improved version.
Tip: Any number you publish, check it on the official site yourself.
Step 7
Turn repeated work into a template
Any task you repeat every week, write a template for it once and save it. In Claude you can put it in a Project's instructions; in ChatGPT, in a custom GPT's instructions or your own notes.
The prompt below turns a chat that worked into a template you can reuse.
PromptFrom chat to templateThis chat produced a great result. Turn it into a template I can reuse: write the fixed instructions, the parts that change each time in [brackets], and one example of an input and its output.
Step 8
Retake the test in two weeks
In two weeks, open a new chat and run the same interview from step two. Compare the scores with the ones you saved. Focus on your two weakest skills only, not everything at once.
PromptProgress checkTwo weeks ago my scores in the six skills were: [paste scores]. Run the same interview with me now, then compare old and new scores, tell me what improved and what I should focus on for the next two weeks.
Ready prompts to copy
My weakest AI skill is [the skill]. Teach it to me with an example from my work in [your field]: a weak request, the same request improved, and why the second is better. Then give me an exercise to do now.
Here is a request I wrote: [paste request]. Improve it so it gives a sharper result: add the missing context, the format and an example. Then explain in three points what you changed and why.
The takeaway
The country is first in use. Be first in skill: context, versions, questions, review and a template.
