Code Review

A service from Anthropic that reviews GitHub pull requests and comments on the exact lines. It runs on Anthropic infrastructure, so you add no workflow files to your repository.

Review level

How deep each review goes. Quick is lighter and cheaper, Standard is the default, Deep is the most thorough and costs the most.

REVIEW.md

A file at the repository root with instructions for reviews only: what to check, what to skip and how many nits to post.

Nit

A minor finding worth fixing that does not block a merge. It is marked 🟡. An important bug is 🔴, and a bug the PR did not introduce is 🟣.

   Check your plan and who does the setup

   Code Review is available on Team and Enterprise plans, for GitHub repositories only. It is not available with Zero Data Retention or the HIPAA configuration.

   Setup needs an Owner of your Claude organization. If you are not an owner of the GitHub organization, ask one to install the Claude GitHub App before you start.

   If your plan does not include the service, you can still run /code-review inside Claude Code on any plan.

   Tip: The local /code-review command reads CLAUDE.md only. It does not read REVIEW.md.
