The steps

   Get the two keys first

   The tool is free, but it needs two services:

   1. Footage: by default it uses Pexels. Register at pexels.com/api for a free key. 2. Script: you need an AI provider. It supports many (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi and more), each with its own key. To keep everything local, use Ollama with a local model.

   Voice: the Edge TTS option is free with no key.

   Tip: Never share your keys. Put them only in the tool's settings.

   The easiest way: let an AI agent install it

   The project ships an official Skill file. If you have an agent that can read Skill files and run commands on your machine (like Claude Code), send it the message below. It installs and configures the tool, generates the video, and only asks for missing keys.

   Per the project page, this currently works on macOS and Windows.

   Or install it yourself with two commands

   You need Python 3.11 or later. Create a virtual environment, then:

   python -m pip install mpt mpt webui

   The official package is mpt. Note: the package named MoneyPrinterTurbo on PyPI is maintained by a third party.

   Windows users also get a one-click package (.7z) from Releases: run update.bat, then start.bat.

   

   Tip: Minimum per the page: 4 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, no GPU required.

   Add your keys in settings

   When the WebUI opens, go to the basic settings and add your Pexels key and your AI provider key. The tool saves them in config.toml on your machine.

   First video: topic, format, voice

   Type the topic and pick the format: portrait 9:16 for Reels, landscape 16:9 for YouTube, or square 1:1. Pick a voice (free Edge TTS is fine to start), the subtitle style, and generate.

   Review before you post

   The tool does the heavy lifting; the review is yours:

   • Read the script and check every number or claim. • The project page says some default music comes from YouTube videos and should be deleted if there are copyright issues. Safest: use your own music or none. • Check the footage fits your topic before posting.

   Tip: You can give it your own finished script instead of letting it write one.
