عشر مهارات تعلّم الـ agent الذوق في التصميم: ثبّتها واستخدمها خطوة بخطوةTen Skills That Teach Your Agent Design Taste: Install and Use Them, Step by Step

Ten open source skills that make Claude Code design interfaces with intent instead of the same default page. For each one: what it does, the install command and a first request to try.

Who this guide is for

Anyone building sites and apps with Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Key terms

Skill
A folder with a SKILL.md file, instructions and helper files. The agent loads it when the task needs it.
Agent
An AI coding tool like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex that reads your project and writes the code.
DESIGN.md
A plain text file that describes a design system: colours, type, spacing and components, so the agent follows it.

The steps

  1. Step 1

Know the two ways to install first

Most of the ten skills install one of two ways.

From the terminal with npx skills add, which drops the skill where your agent looks for it.

Or inside Claude Code with /plugin marketplace add, then /plugin install.

Restart Claude Code after installing so it picks the skill up.

The first way: the npx skills add command as shown on the skill's page on skills.shSource: skills.sh

Tip: Start with two or three skills, not all ten at once.

  2. Step 2

    Install Frontend Design from Anthropic

Anthropic's official skill. It makes Claude commit to a clear direction for colour, type and layout that fits your subject before it writes code, instead of the same default page.

Run the two commands below inside Claude Code. The skill ships in the example-skills plugin.

    code.claude.com

    PromptInstall inside Claude Code
    /plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills
    /plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skills
  3. Step 3

Try Taste Skill and Hallmark for direction and checks

Taste Skill deals a direction from 20 researched ones, builds with real openly licensed pictures, and checks the page in a real browser at three widths. It needs Node 22 and Chrome or Edge.

Hallmark, made by Together AI, has 50 themes and lints the page in a browser against the tells that read as machine made.

Pick one of them per project, not both.

    skills.sh

    PromptInstall from the terminal
npx skills add https://github.com/Leonxlnx/taste-skill --skill "design-taste-frontend"
    npx skills add nutlope/hallmark -g

Tip: Taste Skill says one build takes 30 to 45 minutes and a lot of tokens, so try it on one page first.

  4. Step 4

Let Impeccable review a page you already have

Impeccable is strongest on an interface that exists. Install it in the project folder, then run /impeccable init once so it writes PRODUCT.md about your project.

Then name a command and a target: critique scores the design and ranks what to fix first, audit checks accessibility and performance, polish and bolder make changes.

It also ships 62 deterministic rules that flag AI slop, no API key needed.

    PromptInstall and first command
    npx impeccable install
    /impeccable init
/impeccable critique [the page or component]
  5. Step 5

Use UI UX Pro Max as a library

A skill with 192 colour palettes, 74 font pairings and 119 UX guidelines that it searches by product type.

The basic version is open source; a separate paid tier covers brand identity and logos. For normal sites and apps the basic one is enough.

    PromptInstall inside Claude Code
    /plugin marketplace add nextlevelbuilder/ui-ux-pro-max-skill
    /plugin install ui-ux-pro-max@ui-ux-pro-max-skill
  6. Step 6

Turn your brand into a skill with hue

hue learns any brand from a URL, a name or a screenshot and turns it into a full design skill: colour tokens, type, spacing, components, light and dark mode.

After that, every interface your agent builds matches that brand.

    PromptInstall, then ask
    git clone https://github.com/dominikmartn/hue ~/.claude/skills/hue

Make a design skill from [your site URL or brand name]
  7. Step 7

Extract a DESIGN.md from your code

Extract DESIGN.md is part of Google's Stitch skills. It reads your stylesheets, components and theme files and writes a DESIGN.md with your colours, type and spacing.

Heads up: the Stitch skills need the Stitch MCP server running. Follow stitch.withgoogle.com/docs/mcp/setup first.

    PromptInstall, then ask
npx plugins add google-labs-code/stitch-skills --scope project --target claude-code

Scan [src] and extract the design system into .stitch/DESIGN.md
  8. Step 8

Add shadcn/ui and Interface Design for apps

The official shadcn/ui skill reads your components.json, so it knows your framework, icon library and installed components, and adds components the right way.

Interface Design is for dashboards and admin panels, not marketing sites. It saves your decisions (spacing, button sizes, depth) to .interface-design/system.md and reloads them every run.

    PromptInstall from the terminal
    npx skills add shadcn/ui
npx skills add https://github.com/dammyjay93/interface-design --skill interface-design
  9. Step 9

Fix the type with Better Typography

Better Typography is part of Jakub Krehel's skill pack. It sets the type scale, spacing, font loading and line length, and writes the fix in your code.

Its hard rules: unitless line height, a 60 to 75 character measure, weight 400 or heavier under 18px, and tabular-nums on changing numbers.

The command below installs the whole pack, better-typography included.

    skills.sh

The command that installs the whole pack, with its skills listed below, better-typography among themSource: skills.sh
    PromptInstall, then ask
    npx skills add jakubkrehel/skills

Review the type in [page or component] with the better-typography skill and fix what you find.

Ready prompts to copy

PromptOne request that uses them together
Build [the page] for [the product]. Before any code, commit to a clear design direction that fits the subject and explain it in two lines. When you finish, review the type and spacing and fix the top three problems.

The takeaway

A skill won't give the agent your taste, but it stops it reaching for the easiest default. Install one today and try it on one page.
