⚙️ كيف يشتغل
لما تكون في محادثة مع كلود كود وتحس إن الرد الفلاني أخذك بالاتجاه الغلط، ما تحتاج تعيد كل شيء من أول. الآلية بسيطة:

The Rewind Feature Inside Claude Code
You don't have to lose your entire conversation just because Claude took a wrong turn.
Most people, the moment Claude starts heading in a direction they didn't want, close the chat and open a new one. That works, technically, but it means throwing away every piece of context you carefully built up: the explanations, the decisions, the direction of the work. There's a better move, and it's already built into Claude Code.
What it actually is
The rewind feature lets you select any earlier message in your conversation and roll back to that exact point. Everything after that message gets removed, and Claude returns to the state it was in right before things went sideways. The context above that point stays completely intact.
Think of it like a document with a tracked revision history. You're not starting a new document. You're reverting from a specific revision forward, keeping everything before it untouched, then writing a new version from that point on. Same foundation, corrected direction.
How it works
The mechanism is straightforward once you know where to look. Here's the full flow:
1️⃣ Identify the message where things went wrong, or the message just before it. This can be your own message or a response from Claude.
2️⃣ Hover over that message in the conversation. An edit or rewind icon appears alongside it.
3️⃣ Click it. Claude removes all messages and responses that came after that point.
4️⃣ The conversation is now exactly as it was at that moment. Write a new message with clearer instructions, a different angle, or a corrected prompt.
What makes this genuinely useful is that Claude still has full access to everything above the rewind point. You're not starting cold. You're correcting course with all your prior context still loaded and active.

Scenario: You asked Claude to help you write a product description. After several replies, the tone feels too formal and stiff.
1️⃣ Do not close the conversation. Scroll up to the original message where you made the request.
2️⃣ Hover over that message. You will see an edit or rewind icon appear next to it.
3️⃣ Click it. Claude deletes every response that followed and the conversation returns to that exact point.
4️⃣ Rewrite your message with a style note added, something like: "Write this in a casual, friendly tone, not formal."
You get a fresh attempt with the full context of the conversation preserved, and Claude treats this as a genuine new starting point rather than a correction layered on top of a bad response.
